Plate-Free Digital Printing Meets Corrugated Die Cutting: Dayuan at China International Corrugated Festival 2026

The 2026 China International Corrugated Festival and China International Folding Carton Festival took place from October 28 to 30, 2026 at Foshan Tanzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center. As a major South China trade show for corrugated and folding carton packaging, it connects global equipment suppliers with converters seeking new technology and reliable partnership opportunities.

Dayuan Machinery brought three core machines to the exhibition: the newly launched H-1716CHF Web-fed Digital Printing Machine, H-1716CR Roll to Roll Digital Printing Machine, and MHK-1500FC Automatic Die Cutting Machine with Stripping (Lead Edge Feeder). Live demonstrations continued throughout the show, showcasing the complete workflow from web-fed printing to die cutting and forming of corrugated board. Attendance at the booth remained strong throughout the show.

Short-run branded corrugated packaging has long been limited by plate-making MOQs, a pain point addressed by Dayuan's two new web-fed digital printers, built on one unified digital printing platform. An automatic feeding stand for roll paper runs inline with the digital printing unit. The printer is fitted with sixteen Japan Epson I3200-A1 micro piezo printheads arranged in four rows of four for 8-color output. Servo-controlled magnetic levitation scanning printing and intelligent ink droplet control deliver rich color and sharp fine details. Printheads are equipped with anti-collision protection, automatic cleaning and moisturizing. Platform air suction and tension control maintained stable output throughout long demonstration runs. The imported color registration software system reads physical samples for accurate color reproduction and fast recalibration when substrates or jobs change.

Plate-free operation allows printing to start without plate preparation, which suits production with frequent job changeovers and small-batch orders. The printers can print consistently on art paper, white cardboard, kraft paper and coated paper. The primary use case is preprinted linerboard for corrugated boxes. Preprinted linerboard outperforms direct-on-board printing with better flatness, higher precision and consistent color. For carton and folding carton manufacturers, this digital preprint setup allows flexible order acceptance without sacrificing finished quality.

The two printers differ in output format to match separate production lines. The H-1716CHF operates in roll to sheet mode: inline printing, film laminating, edge correction, slitting, cross cutting and delivery finish in one pass. Web in, sheets out. Cutting accuracy reaches ±0.1 mm for uniform sheets and high yield, ready for direct lamination. The H-1716CR adopts roll to roll output. After drying, the printed linerboard is rewound into rolls by the automatic winding device for continuous high-volume production of preprinted linerboard. Buyers select the model based on their order structure.

Completing the production chain, the MHK-1500FC Automatic Die Cutting Machine with Stripping (Lead Edge Feeder) addresses high-volume corrugated converting. Its high-speed precision lead edge feeder delivers strong suction and low slippage to feed all corrugated grades reliably. One pass completes high-precision die cutting and four-side stripping, leaving clean sheets ready for downstream processes. The high-pile lifting delivery table allows the whole stack of finished sheets to be pulled out of the machine, with automatic switching between main and auxiliary delivery and no manual operation. This design supports sustained high throughput for box plants where delivery schedules and shift output are the priority.

Over three days, the booth welcomed carton plants and folding carton converters from South China and nearby regions, as well as foreign trade and overseas buyers. On-site demonstrations drew industry professionals, and Dayuan technical teams discussed custom configurations and production plans with attendees. A number of customers stated a clear intention to purchase.
